About me

About Me

Anna Klucnika - your running coach and loudest cheerleader

I first started running as a teenager to get fit. I enjoyed running as a way to get outside but I was never consistent with my training. When my friend convinced me to sign up for my first marathon in 2019, I became hooked and my passion for running really started. I started to run distances and paces that I would never have dreamed would be possible. So I decided to keep on training to see if I could achieve more impossible goals. I have now run over 8 marathons and 4 ultramarathons.

My proudest achievement was being selected to represent Latvia at 2023 World Half Marathon Championships and 2025 European Marathon Championships. For a girl who was in the bottom set of sports class, lining up on the elite start line was breathtaking.

I started coaching because I want to empower more people to pursue scary goals and run faster and further than they ever thought possible. I have a PhD in metabolism, so my coaching style combines evidence-based training with an athlete-centred approach. Based in Cambridge, I provide personalised training plans and support to runners across the UK online and lead in-person training around Cambridge and London.

I have coached runners to a range of goals and each one has excited me; running a first half marathon, running a London marathon Good-For-Age time, returning to running post-partum. I can't wait to hear about your running journey.
